Wednesday - late

It's been a busy couple of days preparing for Joyce's memorial service this Saturday. At times it seems sureal - like a dream. God, as He has promised, is sustaining our family. We are so missing Joyce yet so thankful she's no longer suffering. She's really in heaven! She's experiencing life beyond anything we could imagine! Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Tomorrow it will be one week since she passed.

In His Arm's,

Pat

  1. Yes, Jesus come quickly. But if You tarry may we live as missionaries in a land of plenty where souls are starving without the BREAD OF LIFE. (Burden for the lost just like Joyce, just like Pat)
Short term missions trip and then home Lord.

  2. Dear Pat,
Thank you so much for sharing your heart with us, Pat. It's wonderful that we can be in touch with you still. I don't think that even Emmanuel Faith is large enough for the people who want to be there Saturday to honor Joyce and you.
    Love in Him,
    Rick and Judy Erickson

  3. Hello Pat,

Juliana gave me permission to post the poem she wrote about Joyce. I hope it blesses your heart.

our last breath taken so deeply
is our first breath of a pure world
    where nothing is evil
where God is walking on streets of gold

    We all saw her struggle
and tried so hard to take her pain
You were with her every step Lord
we will never take that love in vein.

    now you have her soul
    in your arms so near
we will see you both so soon
but for now we shed a tear

    her smile was so bright
    her love made her fight
but you lord let her see the light

  4. Time can hurt, missing the ones we love, growing older, seeing our kids grow older. Yet, time has a purpose, God created it. And anything God creates is good. Thanks be to God there is no time in heaven. So tomorrow, for Joyce it will be as the first. I pray for God's return quickly too, yet there is something more He has for us to do, one more person to come to Him. We wait together. Thats what family does. Stay in Him Arms,

  5. Pat, you have been a total inspiration to me as you have walked through this trial. Just wanted you to know that I am listening and praying for you, as well as so many others out there. You are definitely NOT alone.

    Love,

  6. You are an amazing man and you were married to an amazing woman. You both have touched more lives and more hearts than you could possibly know-- mine included.

You continue to teach, allowing your light to shine even in your darkest days.

May God bless you Pastor Pat for being such a humble and faithful servant.

In his arms too (because you taught me the truth about His unending love)

  7. Hi Pat and family,
The Lord is so sweet to us when we lose a loved one. When my mom died I missed her so much I longed for her to give me just one more hug. I had a dream she was sitting on a chair outside my room and I said "Mom! what are you doing there!? She held out her arms and said "come here Mija" I sat on her lap and we just hugged and I cried in her arms. It was only a dream but a gift from God. My brother dreamt my mom was walking behind Jesus and they were dressed in white, she was young again she looked back and smiled then they went through a cloud and looked back again as if she had nothing to worry about here on earth. She just didn't want to leave us although she knew she was going to be with the Lord and he'd take care of us. Those dreams are so special. See you Saturday!

    Your sister in Christ

  8. It is hard for us left here, but it is only a little time and we will be together again. I envy Joyce and Mike C. being able to hang out with our Lord right now. I'll bet it's a good game their at in your honor.

God's Love and Blessings on you and your Family
