Hi friends and family - just a brief update: Day 16 and Joyce has slowed down considerably. She is no longer battling that severe restless and is resting peacefully. She's shutting down - just very slowly. Thanks for hangin' with us!
In His Arm's,
Pat

"I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a spek of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says: 'There, She's gone.' Gone where? Gone from my sight - that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminshed size is in me, not in her; and just at the mooment when someone at my side says, 'There! She's gone,' there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, 'There she comes!'

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling.....see on the portals He's waiting and watching....come home, come home.... you who are weary come home.
What else can be said but that we, your flock, love you Pastor Pat, and that our prayerful hearts go out to you and yours. Because of Jesus, we can rejoice and give praise, even as we are poured out!
ReplyDeletePat, Joyce and family....
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in our thoughts and prayers daily. Only you and God know the depth of your sadness as your precious Joyce slips away to be in His Loving Arms. We pray that you will be surrounded by the peace that surpasses all understanding when the time comes for Joyce to be with Our Father in heaven. We love you and thank you for sharing your journey and being a living testimony for us to see how the love of God is in every aspect of your lives. That by your example, we will be forever changed and will live our lives for Him.

big brother,
ReplyDeletehanging together with you bro as a family in this journey and praying as what HE has called for us to do. peace brother,
boy/jane
Thank you so much for this update. You two, your children, your grandchildren, and your flock are on my heart so many times throughout every day and I stop to pray. Then I end up starting up the computer, just to see if there is word, because I long to know how to pray for y'all.
ReplyDeleteI wrote a spiritual insight into Proverbs 31 a while back for the Family Blueprint website and even more so...for my own application in my life. I was thinking how close Joyce is to receiving the reward..."Her husband shines a praise upon her that while many godly women have shown strength, she has ascended above them all.
Charm and favor are not real and beauty is just a vapor here today and gone tomorrow. But a wife and woman who reveres Yahweh, she will find He shines upon her, the greatest blessing.
Bestow upon her the offspring of her strength, and let her end product, the achievement, be the praise she receives in heaven!"
I think most godly women long to know they did well as a wife and mother in the eyes of their family and God. "Well done good and faithful servant!" Oh how Joyce must long to hear those words from her Master!
We continue to pray with/for you and your family. Jordan and Noelle must be fatigued physically and emotionally as well. May the Lord continue to give you the grace for each moment. I know at times it "feels" like He has abandoned us and there is no grace left to sustain us, but when we reflect back how clearly we see how He carried us and covered us with grace during these times of our intense struggles.
My constant prayer is that each of you are blessed with glimpses of His presence.
We love you and send you tender embraces of encouragement!
We love and are praying for you all!
ReplyDeletePRAISE GOD! Today may be the day Joyce is ushered into heaven. We are all praying for her to give up the Ghost and enter into His presence. Praying that the Lord will bring peace to your souls.
ReplyDeleteFourth of July is a good day to have her ushered into His glory with fireworks and shouts of praise and joy as she returns to her Heavenly home.
Dear Pastor Pat,
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know that I love you guys so much, and I'm praying for you daily. Please tell Joyce that I love her. I will continue asking the Lord to give you grace, strength, and peace beyond understanding.
Love in Christ,
Kristina Kayser
Greetings Pat, Joyce, Noel and Jordon,
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for you and your family during this most difficult time. We are also amazed at what the Lord is doing in and through each of you. Although we do not understand the details at this time we can be assured that the Lord is in control of our beginnings and our endings"
Yesterday as I was doing my bible study, the Lord gave me a "Joyce verse". Even though I already had this verse underlined, it now has new purpose and meaning in my life personally.
Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:6
May the Lord give you all peace and perseverance on this Independence day, July 4th 2007
Ps: See you Friday night
Love in Christ,
Mike and Linda
