Sat. morning update 6-23

Joyce had a restful nite. Kelly K. did the nite watch with her and she said Joyce woke up a couple of times and asked "What's happening?" and another time she just said, "Hi Kelly" and went back to sleep after Kelly talked to her a bit and read to her from the Bible. This morning around 7 Joyce was awake and more alert than all day yesterday! She wanted to sit up on the edge of the bed and gave her little laugh to things we were saying to her. My son called on his way to work and I put him on the speaker phone. He said Hi Mom! and Joyces eyes brightened up and she said, clear as ever, "Hi Jordan! How are you doing?" These things may not seem like much but to all of us who were preparing to be awakened in the middle of the nite with the word that Joyce had passed, it was so very special to hear her sweet voice once again.

She's back into a deep sleep again now. We're at peace here at the house.

Have a blessed day in the Lord today...and go out of your way to appreciate and love those close to you!

In His Arm's,

Pat

  6. I am so happy to hear that there are special moments of clarity and fellowship. Joyce has always been such a blessing to us. She always would ask us how things were going for us, and pray for things she knew were on our hearts. Even as she was going through her battle with this disease, her focus was always on others--even as late as last month when she came to second service the Sunday after Mother's Day. We love her very much and are deeply touched to be able to hear how she is doing through your blog posts. Thank you for sharing her with us.

  8. My prayers are with you and your family in this most trying time of your lives. My loving wife fought a ten week battle with cancer and went with our Lord on March 25, 2007. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and layed down her life for Him with no questions asked. We praised God together to the very end putting it all in His hands. Accepting the fact that He had the power to cure. But also knowing that only He knows when he would interviene. Either way, what ever His decision, we praised His Hold name. We repeaded; "Blessed be God forever...in warm or stormy wheather...Blessed be God forever".
I learned to praise God in good times and in bad times. I am happy my wife is in heaven happy with the Lord. I am proud and happy for her.
Dont get me wrong. I cried A LOT!! I cried for some 3months non-stop.
I pray that you all find streaght in our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Blessed be God forever!

  9. My heart aches as I relive my events through your blog. "Then we sang praises to God and worshipped Him and kissed Mom and whispered in her ear, It is ok you can go home now. And she left pain for a mansion, a new body, a great inheritance, a face to face encounter with her Savior." My prayers are for your aching hearts, and a deepening love and praise and honor and glory for God through a woman after God's own heart.

  12. I cant help but be excited for our dear sister today. Only the Lord knows the true timeline, but to think that in a matter of days she will be in the presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, its a pretty awesome and precious thing. What a gift the Lord gave us in Joyce. And if we all love her this much, just think how excited our savior is to welcome her home. She will finally get to hear those words "well done faithful servant!" I pray that while your heart breaks you will find peace in the truth that our God is good. I pray you will cling to Him and rejoice in the knowledge that in a blink of an eye, we too will be in the presence of our glorious saviour...where heartache and tears will be no more. Praise the Lord for his faithfulness to carry us through times like these. Praise the Lord for his perfect plan. and bless Joyce for her unwavering faith throughout the suffering she has endured. It will be a gift one day to find out how it all worked together for the glorification of our Lord. May the Lord be your strong tower.... Blessed be the name of the Lord!!!
