Our reading thru the Bible in a year should have us thru Judges 18 and Luke 7.
It's been an up and down week - seems like there's been a lot of those! Joyce and I have pretty well absorbed the mixed results of her testings we recieved last Wednesday. Her upper right leg still hurts from the surgery but she is almost exclusively using her cane instead of the walker and has been taking a few steps the last couple of days on her own with no help! She finishes up radiation on the leg tomorrow and then we have 10 days before she starts chemo again.
Easter week is also upon us. May you all rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus - in His victory over sin and death that has given life eternal to all who put their trust in Him.
In His Arm's,
Pat

Hi Pat and Joyce,
ReplyDeleteOnce again we thank you for sharing your struggles with us. We know it is difficult to do. We are regularly lifting you up to the Father of mercy, comfort and hope. We see His hand upon you and using you mightily. As you come to Him in your weakness, He comes through you to us in His strength. I was especially touched by Joyce's thankfulness for God's mercy in the midst of these afflictions, that you mentioned on Sunday. We are praising God for a great work of knitting hearts together in this Escondido part of His Body as we pray for one another. It is such a testimony to the world around us that we are the family of God. Amazingly, the Lord is still choosing to do His "greater works" through a feeble and fickle people who He has pulled from the garbage dump of the world for His good pleasure.
"Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He IS good! His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so...They cried out to the Lord and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them."Psalm 107:1,19,20
God has not changed. His word will be true for you also. He will not fail to prove Himself faithful.
Agape, Elaine
