Whitefish

Made it safely to Pottersfield ranch in Whitefish, Montana. What a beautiful place God has provided here to help train up our next generation of servant/leaders. Doing good physically so far - thanks for your prayers. They have wi-fi so I'll be able to send and receive email while I'm here. No phone however - it only works in town which is about 15 miles away.

Got some nice pics of the scenery and I'll take a few of the students, interns, and staff tomorrow.

Love you all!

Pat

  1. My dear and loving pastor. My teacher. I came upon your church almost a year ago just after loosing my wife to cancer. I was lead to your church by the Holy Spirit who was working through my sister, who in turn sought your guidance since 1998.
You too where having to deal with tragic issues put upon us in this world and the signs became apparent that something was bound to happen when we saw less and less of you and your church was at a loss without your guidance and presence.
During this last Sunday’s sermon, and as it became apparent what was transpiring, I said to myself “No, no…oh no.” Soon, I felt the hurt inside me. Then, I began to hear people around me sobbing. I was not the only one feeling the loss.
After it was said and done, I went to you, hugged you and wept like a big baby. That is what you have done to me. I find myself crying a lot at your church. I cry because of the joy and love that I have found in Jesus Christ once again. Because of the love He has for me, and the comfort and beauty I now find in His word. The word you so diligently proclaimed and explained to us.
Now I feel like a young boy who is loosing his best friend for the summer session. Yet, I thank God that I had you in my life during the most crucial time.
Pastor Pat, your job was well done here in Escondido. You (through the Holy Spirit) have brought my sister, her teen son, myself and my little boy, to find a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Now your mission must continue elsewhere. We now understand the beauty of that mission. You will lead and prepare other great men to teach the word of God. We wish you many more years of leading God’s children to His kingdom.
Oh how I wish we could follow you to Whitefish. My sister and I have spent time looking at the maps, web sites and information of where your new calling is at. Wow.
You so much deserve to be there. Nurse yourself into well-being so that we can soon see you once again. And if not in this world, then be it in the next!
I love you pastor Pat. You and your teachings will not be forgotten. Here I go…starting to cry again…..heavy weeping now. Tears rolling down.
I will miss you. Keep those blogs “On” and please make it a point to post your lessons or sermons on MP3 format. This way we will still be close to your teachings of God’s word.
We love you Pat. God above all. Praise His Holy Name!

  2. To our dear Pastor Pat:

I am glad to know that others are somewhere between tears of joy for you and tears of sadness at the news that you shared with us on Sunday. It is good news in the sense that you couldn't be leaving your flock in better hands than with Pastor Miles and the rest of the Leaders and Elders at Calvary Chapel Escondido. These men truly have stepped up for you, for God and this church family in our hour of need. What a blessing this must be to you, knowing that it really is a tribute to you. You are an awesome leader, teacher, Pastor and friend. We pray that God will restore you to perfect health. As always you will be in the hearts, thoughts and prayers of your church family. We love you and thank God for you. Words could never express our gratitude for all that you have done for this body of believers. As you said there is much to be done. We will support Pastor Miles and lift him up to the Lord. God Bless you Pastor Pat.
