Montana #2

Hello again from Pottersfield Ranch in Whitefish Mt. Below is the scene I woke up to this morning:

It's snowed each night and early morning I've been here. It melts by noon and the snow turns to rain - but this morning it totally looked like a scene out of Narnia!

Had a wonderful day with the students and staff here and have made a whole bunch of new friends! It's so invigorating to see young people on fire for Jesus and wanting to commit their entire lives to serving Him.

This evening, we enjoyed a Seder dinner presented by Pastor Dave Mercer.

Got three more days to rest up here then it's back to Escondido on Monday. I should be around for the next few weeks if any of you would like to get together and have some good fellowship time!

In His Arm's,

Pat

PS. Had to throw in at least one picture of my grand daughter Kaylee with me at the Flower Fields in Carlsbad last Saturday!

  2. Hey Pat,
Great pictures! Especially you and Kaylee. I pray that you are rested up and that the Lord is directing you as you spend your time in Narnia. :-) We'll probably be back in Escondido next week, so will try and give you a call.
    Love you,
    Karen

  3. Hi Pat,
Congratulations on your new direction! May God bless you abundantly as you begin walking in your new direction while continuing to set an example for all, but especially those who have been widowed - to keep seeking God's counsel and being obedient to Him - even through all of the loss and changes in your life. A walking example is a powerful testimony, giving glory to Jesus in each chapter of life. It is so easy to become overwhelmed and consumed with loss. It is also easy to become overwhelmed when one's health is also not the best. The stress of grief and loss is a tremendous stress on the body. . . . but you are moving forward as He leads. How awesome! This will be a great adventure!

When I was widowed, I retired as the director of a large program in SD county and eventually went into ministry. I can testify first-hand of God's blessings on obedience. Tomorrow morning, my husband (I remarried a few years ago) and I are going to the missionfield at Shepherd's Ranch to help with the development of a boys school. These young men have had to leave their schools of origin and homes - they had a few issues! We will timeshare between Redding, CA and San Diego (with Life Changes Academy). God is so good as He directs our paths. We have a FUN life!!! :-)

So . . . be prepared for the unexpected . . . and to see how God will bless you on this new leg of your life's journey. It will bring new and wonderful experiences! :-) Praise His Name! It will bring stretching and growth and the very best future - as we know God does want the best for His kids!

You will remain in our prayers. Please keep us updated in continuing your blog, as we pray for your reconnect surgery and your healing time.

    In Him who is able!
    Wayne and Linda

  4. Dear Pastor Pat:

The picture of you and Kaylee is so precious. She looks so much like Joyce. It is a combination of things, it's her eyes, her smile, her color. That is the gift that the Lord gives us when we lose our loved ones. We can see them in our children and in your case your grandchildren. Your daughter Noele is also a beautiful combination of both you and Joyce. I hope that gives you great joy and comfort. Joyce lives on in our hearts, I can still hear her beautiful laugh. It was contagious. I know she will be with you always, until you meet again.

God Bless You my dear Pastor, enjoy the beauty of your surroundings and just rest.

    In Christ's Love,
    Kathy Gomez
