Good Monday evening or Tuesday morning!
I've had, overall, a pretty calm last few days. Been at church a lot and that's been good for me. Many have been asking me when I'll return to teaching on Sunday mornings - and to that question I'm just not sure right now. Soon I think - but I think it's important that my resuming my teaching duties is in the Lord's time and not mine. Miles is doing a wonderful job on Sunday mornings and I couldn't be more proud and pleased. The church is being fed the Word and people are growing. So if my ministry is more supportive and behind the scenes for a little while longer that's OK by me! The scheduling of my colon surgery is also a factor and that hopefully will get on the calendar sometime before the end of this week.
My son's wedding is this Saturday and that will be keeping me busy the next few days.
God bless and keep all of you in His love!

We praise God that the healing process is beginning and that you are taking care of your health needs. Thankfully, you have such a wonderful group of people serving the Lord while you take care of yourself. The timing for your return to service will be made know to you by our Lord. Thank you Lord!
ReplyDeletePastor Pat,
ReplyDeleteYou just keep waiting on the Lord and HE WILL make it known to you when you should return. Take care of yourself first. We all miss you, but GOD IS GOOD and Miles is doing a fantastic job of filling in for you. Each day things will get better. My big concern now is your surgery. Keep your strength up so you will heal quickly. I am sure ater the surgery you will not be able to eat heavy so fill up on MALTS and SHAKES now. I don't want a 'feather' to come along and blow you over.
" Life is so uncertain, and the road is sometimes long. But God, in all His widsom, Will turn sorrow into 'song.' Tomorrow's plan is uveiling, as sure as the sun sets above. The songs unsung are still waiting....God wants us to sing of His love.
God Bless....Isabelle
You have no idea how blessed I am to hear you build up Miles. I don't know him, seems like I met him in the past. It is wonderful that you see the gifts and callings in others in your congregation and encourage them. You are still being a pastor! The teaching part will come when the Spirit moves you. And He will, in His time.
ReplyDeleteI pray you and your son have a wonderful time as "best men" this weekend! May your son, Jordan, be a wonderful husband to his new bride! He has a great role model in you.
Blessings to you dear brother! We miss you and pray for you always.
